Every IPS generator is configured for a specific duty cycle, and getting that choice right is the difference between a unit that lasts and one that doesn’t.
- Standby; automatic backup for sites where the mains usually runs. The generator sits idle until it’s needed, then takes the load until mains power is restored. Suited to commercial buildings, healthcare, and any operation where a mains outage means downtime.
- Prime power; primary power for sites without a grid connection. The generator runs daily, handling a variable load as equipment switches on and off. Suited to remote operations, rural properties and Pacific Island sites where mains power isn’t available.
- Continuous; 24/7 operation as the sole power source, at a steady load. Suited to operations that can’t stop and need a generator rated for round-the-clock running.
