Not every pumping job can be solved with an off-the-shelf unit. When the fluid is abrasive, the environment is harsh, the flow rate is unusual, or the installation is non-standard, you need a pump set designed and built specifically for the application.

Shaw Diesels has decades of experience designing and fabricating custom diesel pump sets for New Zealand’s mining, construction, industrial and agricultural sectors. We engineer the complete system — engine selection, pump specification, drive configuration, base frame or trailer fabrication, controls and ancillaries — then build, test and commission it in our workshop.

Every custom pump set starts with the application. We need to understand what you’re pumping, how far, how high, how fast, and in what conditions. From there, we engineer the solution:

Application assessment — we discuss your requirements: fluid type, flow rate, head pressure, distance, site conditions and any special considerations
Engineering & specification — we select the right engine, pump, drive configuration and ancillaries for the application
Fabrication — base frame, trailer or skid fabrication in our workshop, with engine and pump mounting, piping, controls and guarding
Assembly & testing — complete assembly, wiring, plumbing and full-load testing before the unit leaves the workshop
Delivery & commissioning — delivered to your site, installed, connected and commissioned by our engineers
Ongoing support — servicing, repairs, parts and rebuild services for the life of the unit
